Wolfenstein: The New Order is a 2014 first-person shooter developed by MachineGames and ID Software and published by Bethesda Softworks for the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and Windows. Due to Germany banning Nazism in video games at the time, the German version of this game was censored.

Censorship[]

Germany censorship[]

  • All Nazi references were removed and Nazi Swastikas were replaced by the Wolfenstein logos.
  • The two dead Bodies in the Crematorium after B.J. wakes up were removed.

Where to find it uncensored?[]

Every other country has this game completely uncensored. Steam and possibly Xbox and PlayStation stores as well offers a uncensored patch now since 2019 thanks to Germany easing up the law that forbids Nazism in video games back in Summer 2018.
