The Darkness 2 is a first-person shooting video game that was developed by Digital Extremes and published by 2K Games. The video game was released on February 7, 2012, in order to be released in Germany the game had to be censored.

- Enemies limbs can be longer be separated from the body.
- Civilians can no longer be killed.
- When black holes explode they leave a lot less blood.
- Damage textures on enemies were removed.
- Ragdoll effects were removed.
- You can no longer throw dead enemies.
- Some of the attacks you can preform were modified for the German release. In the German release certain attacks are less graphic no longer having as much blood as the uncensored version.
- Body parts lying around the levels were removed.
- In the brothel you can only hear the two woman having sex and if you go into the rooms you don't see anything while in the uncensored version you can see them having sex.
- Gore was removed.
- The scene that shows the Darkness killing the three gangsters was modified for the German release. In the German version the Darkness doesn't tear one of the gangsters apart like he does in the uncensored version.
- The scene that shows the two tentacles attacking Swifty and killing him with a stomach whip execution was modified for the German release. In the German version his stomach doesn't have any damage, or blood on it.
- The scene that shows Bragg getting his torso cut by a tentacle in the middle of the torso was modified for the German release. In the German version the scene completely fades to black after this making it so you don't see Jack reaching inside Bragg's body and pulling out his heart.
