Censorship

Syria is a West Asian country located in the Eastern Mediterranean and the Levant and mainly practices Islam. Censorship was pervasive during the Ba'athist rules of Hafez Al-Assad and of his son Bashar Al-Assad.

Syria is a country with a mainly Muslim population, and is highly conservative society where homosexuality and sexual activity between the same gender is punishable up to three years in prison. It is also illegal to take photos of military or government buildings or sensitive infrastructure.

  • Luck be a Landlord - The video game is banned in the App Store and Google Play Store in Syria due to it violating its gambling policies, since gambling is a haram activity in Islam.
