Strange World is an American animated film produced by Walt Disney Animation Studios and distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures. The movie was released in theaters in the United States on November 23, 2022, the first to be released since the end of Bob Chapek's tenure as CEO of the company. As it features gay romance, the film was not released in some markets.

The film was not shown in theaters in the Middle East, mainland China, Malaysia, Indonesia, Pakistan, Turkey, Vietnam, West Africa, Nepal, and Bangladesh. Most of the aforementioned countries either outlaw homosexual behavior or consider homosexuality to be taboo.[1]

Disney did not formally submit Strange World to the Maldives film censors, the National Bureau of Classification. However, it is practically banned in the Maldives for glorification of homoseuxality.

In Singapore, the film was allowed to be released with an age restriction of 16 years.
