Silent Hill: Homecoming is a survival horror video game that was developed by Double Helix Games and published by Konami Digital Entertainment. The video game was released on September 30, 2008. In order to release in Germany and Australia the game had to be censored.

Germany Censorship[]

  • The fishing moves with the knife, Axe, Crowbar and Steel Pipe can no longer be done on human opponents.
  • The scene that shows Alex witnesses the doctor getting cut was modified for the German release. In the German version the blood on the cuts were removed.
  • The scene that shows Alex tied to a chair while the judge "works" with a drill in his leg was modified for the German release. The German version had a privacy screen in front of the drill causing you only see Alex wriggling.
  • The scene that shows Holloway hitting Alex in the eye was modified for the German release. In the German version it fades to black before Alex dies.
  • The scene that shows Alex ramming the drill into Holloway's chin was modified for the German release. In the German version it cuts to black before the drill reaches Holloway's chin.
  • The scene that shows the Bogeyman killing Alex's father was modified for the German release. In the German version Adam's body is no longer split apart.

Australian Censorship[]

  • The scene that shows the Bogeyman killing Alex's father was modified for the Australian release. In the Australian version Adam's body is no longer split apart.

Where to find it uncensored[]

Every other country has it uncensored.
