Shaman King

Shaman King is an Japanese anime that was made by Xebec and was released on July 4, 2001 and it ended on September 25, 2002. When 4KIDS brought the rights to make a dub for the anime they decided to make changes in order to make it more family friendly and get a TV-Y7 FV rating. As a result violence was toned down and Christian elements were removed.

1. Crosses were removed and replaced with grave stones.

• Episode 2

1. The scene that shows a pile of corpses was modified for the 4Kids dub. In the 4Kids dub the pile of corpses were digitally removed.

• Episode 5

1. The scene that shows Ren in the shower was modified for the 4Kids dub. In the 4Kids dub the scene is zoomed in on the top half of his body as a result you can no longer see his butt.

• Episode 8

1. Crosses were removed.

• Episode 9

1. The scene that shows Horo Horo running to the bathroom was modified for the 4Kids dub. In the original version he wasn't wearing any underwear in the 4KIDS dub they digitally added underwear.

• Episode 10

1. The scene that shows Ryu holding a small knife in his hand was cut.
2. The scene that shows Ryu stabbing Muscle Punch in the leg was cut.
3. The scene that shows Muscle Punch falling to the ground withering in pain was cut.

• Episode 12

1. The scene that shows Muscle Punch scrubbing Ryu's back was modified for the 4KIDS dub. In the original you could see their butts due to their towels not being longer enough to cover it. In the 4KIDS version they digitally extended the towels as a result you can no longer see their butts.

• Episode 14

1. The scene that shows most of the boys in the bath was modified for the 4KIDS dub. In the 4KIDS dub they are all wearing towels.
2. The scene that shows Manta nude was modified for the 4KIDS dub. In the 4KIDS dub he is wearing shorts.
3. The scene that shows Horohoro nude was modified for the 4KIDS dub. In the 4KIDS dub he is wearing shorts.

• Episode 15

1. The scene that shows Eliza having a bullet hole in her skull was modified for the 4KIDS dub. In the 4KIDS version the bullet hole was removed.
2. The scene that shows crosses in the graveyard was modified for the 4KIDS dub. In the 4KIDS dub they are tombstones.
3. The scene that shows Manta hooked up to a cross was modified for the 4KIDS dub. In the 4KIDS dub it is a large tombstone.

• Episode 16

1. Any scene that shows crosses in the graveyard was modified for the 4KIDS dub. In the 4KIDS dub they are tombstones.
2. The scene that shows Eliza having a bullet hole in her skull was modified for the 4KIDS dub. In the 4KIDS version the bullet hole was removed.

• Episode 17

1. The scene that shows Yoh naked in the waterfall was modified for the 4KIDS dub. In the 4KIDS dub he isn't nude.

• Episode 21

1. Any scene that shows a sake bottle was modified for the 4KIDS dub. In the 4KIDS dub the sake bottle was removed.

Where to find it uncensored

The sub is uncensored, and any dub that is not the 4Kids dub (or other dubs based off of it) is uncensored.
