Saints Row: The Third is an action-adventure video game that was developed by Volition and published by THQ. The video game was released on November 15, 2011. The game had to be censored in order to be released in Germany, and it was banned in the United Arab Emirates. The Remastered version was also censored worldwide and received further censorship in Japan to comply with CERO standards.

  • One of the girls in the Tits and Grits shop now has the breasts covered to no longer show the nipple.
  • The naked women in the Shaundi magazine cover now have their breasts blurred.
  • In the mission where you take over the Syndicate penthouse the boss originally shoots someone on the ground in the head. In the Remaster there is a umbrella in the way so you don't see the guy getting shot.

German censorship[]

  • The game was originally banned due to high impact violence, but a censored version was later released.
  • When civilians die, they no longer drop money.
  • You can no longer use a civilian as a protective shield.
  • If you kill a civilian, your wanted level is immediately activated.
  • Whored Mode was renamed Horde mode.

Japanese censorship[]

(Remastered version)

  • All International censorship applies.
  • Player can no longer go fully nude.
  • NPC bodies disappear right after they die.
  • The Penetrator design was changed to not resemble a dildo
  • Decapitation was removed.

United Arab Emirates[]

  • The game was banned in the United Arab Emirates due to sexual themes, excessive violence, and use of drugs and alcohol.

Where to find it uncensored[]

Every other country has the original game uncensored.
