Revolution X is an on-the-rails shooting video game that was developed by Midway for arcades. It was ported by Rage Software for the Sega Genesis and Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES), and Software Creations for the PC (DOS), PlayStation, and Sega Saturn. It was published by Midway for arcades and Acclaim for home consoles.[1] An early version of the video game (Proto 5.0) was released in arcades on May 23, 1994 and version 1.0 was released on June 16, 1994. In order for the SNES port to be released in Germany in 1995, it had to be censored.
