Return to Castle Wolfenstein is a first-person shooting video game that was developed by Gray Matter Interactive and published by Activision. The video game was released on November 19, 2001. Due to German laws regarding Nazi imagery in video games at time, the game had to be censored. Despite this, the censored version was also banned on 30 April, 2002. It is worth noting that this was only four days after the Erfurt School shooting, this game was one of several FPS found in the shooter's posession, and that violence in video games in General was far more controversial at the time.
