Season 7[]
  • Episode 41 (Families)
    1. Penny Polar Bear lives with her 2 mothers. One being a doctor, and one cooking spaghetti. A politician of the highly conservative Brothers of Italy (Fratelli d'Italia) party demanded a ban on the episode due to its depiction of lesbian relationships.[2]

Chinese and Russian censorship[]

  • Contrary to popular belief, the show was never banned in China, and is even very popular there. However, in Russia, the show was targeted by the Russian government due to the presence of Penny Polar Bear's mothers in the Season 7 episode "Families". Before that, its Russian trademark was no longer renewed due to sanctions regarding the country's invasion of Ukraine, allowing the Peppa Pig brand to be used by third-parties without permission, therefore resulting in copyright infringement. Also, in China, the main character herself was no longer allowed to be associated with gangster communities after a series of videos were posted on Douyin (the Chinese version of TikTok).

U.S. censorship[]

  • The episode "Granny Pig's Chickens" is banned due to scene where Grandpa Pig says the word "stupid." Following this the episode was also removed from Paramount+ nation worldwide.

YouTube censorship[]

The Home of Peppa Pig censorship[]

Season 1[]
  • Episode 10 (Gardening)
  1. Peppa saying, “I want to plant a seed.” has been muted except the word "seed". This is probably due to this speech being “R-Rated”.

Where to find it uncensored[]

  • The uncensored show can be found online on third-party sites, if the episode in question has not been banned.
