No Strings Attached is a 2011 film distributed by Paramount Pictures, which was directed by Ivan Reitman and starred Natalie Portman and Ashton Kutcher in the lead roles. In countries such as Australia and New Zealand, several scenes had to be censored or toned down in order to receive a lighter rating on several television networks.


Australian censorship[]


  • The line "He was a son of a bitch." is changed to "He was a pain in the butt."
  • The line "What about 'Let's go get some coffee and bitch work?'" is changed to "What about 'Let's go get some coffee and switch work?'"
  • The line "You look like a pumpkin, bitch!" is changed to "You look like a pumpkin, Mitch!" or "You look like a pumpkin, Hitch!" or "You look like a pumpkin, slick!"
  • The line "That hole is my bitch!" is changed to "That hole is my bitch!" or is cut completely.
  • In fact any other use of the word "bitch" is dubbed over with words that rhyme with it, or are replaced with "slick", "butt" etc.
  • The line "You’re the guy she fucked a couple of times in the handicap bathroom." is replaced with "You're the guy she was playing with in the school's teacher's lounge."
