Ninja Gaiden is a platforming video game that was developed and published by Tecmo. The video game was released on December 9, 1988 for the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES/Famicom). Due to Nintendo's policies at the time, the port of the game for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES) had to be censored for the North American release.

  • Hexagrams were removed.
  • Red depictions of blood was modified in the scene that shows the Hayabusa family after they got shot.

Where to find it uncensored[]

The NES and PC versions are uncensored, and every other region has the SNES/Super Famicom release uncensored.
