Mafia II is an open-world action-adventure video game was developed by 2K Czech and published by 2K Games. The video game was released on 24 August 2010. Due to video game regulations from CERO, the game had to be censored in order to be released in Japan with a Z rating.

- Mafia 2 was among 47 games that were banned in Saudi Arabia due to unspecified violent content after a 12-year-old boy and a 13-year-old girl had allegedly committed suicide after participating in an online "Blue Whale" challenge.[1][2]
United Arab Emirates censorship[]
- The game was banned likely due to the game containing nudity however no official reason was ever provided. [3]
Uzbekistan censorship[]
- The game was banned due to the government believing it "distorted national values” and “threatened stability.” [4]
