Lollipop Chainsaw is a hack and slash video game that was developed by Grasshopper Manufacture and published by Kadokawa Games (JP) and Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment (WW). The video game was released on June 12, 2012. Due to the game targeting a CERO D rating for release in Japan, the gameplay content was censored.

Censorship[]

Japanese censorship[]

  • Blood splatter was changed to pink sparks or simply just removed, though blood stains on walls and floors still appear as red.
  • Severed body parts or gore are no longer shown completely separated and any bloody stumps or gore are recolored black.
  • Severed heads are no longer shown and are either changed to be random objects like footballs or simply covered up with pink sparks to make it so you can't see it.
  • The Juliet Starling player character is introduced wearing a pleated skirt instead of a bikini.

Where to find it uncensored[]

The Premium Edition is the least censored version in Japan; it restores the gore and is rated CERO Z. Every other country has it uncensored.
