How Jak And Daxter Is Changed In Japan

Jak II is an American action game that was developed by Naughty Dog and released in North America on October 14, 2003. When it was released in Japan on March 11, 2004 as Jak and Daxter 2, some violence was toned down in order to make it more appealing to kids and families like the original game, even though the developer had been targeting a more mature audience for the sequel.

Japanese censorship[]

  • In the uncensored version, Jak is allowed to kill civilians. This gameplay mechanic was modified for the Japanese version, in which it is impossible to kill civilians.

Where to find it uncensored[]

The American, Australian, and European versions are completely uncensored.
