Eternals is a superhero film produced by Marvel Studios and distributed by Disney from 2021. The film was censored in the Middle East and banned in China.

Middle Eastern censorship[]

The film was banned in Bahrain, Oman, and Saudi Arabia after Disney declined a request by local censors to edit out scenes related to characters who in were a same-sex relationship.[1][2] The film was banned in Kuwait and Qatar because depictions of gods and prophets are considered blasphemous. The film was edited and released in United Arab Emirates, Jordan, Lebanon, and Egypt without any scenes of intimacy (heterosexual or homosexual) as is standard practice for these markets.[2]

Chinese censorship[]

The film was banned in mainland China due to director Chloe Zhao's comments about the Chinese Communist Party.[3]

Where to find it uncensored[]

Every other region has it uncensored.
