Dragon Warrior II is a role-playing video game that was developed by Chunsoft and published by Enix. The video game was released on January 26, 1987, due to Nintendo's policies at the time the game had to be censored for the International release, removing religious symbols.

- Churches were renamed Houses of Healing, with their crosses replaced with stars.
- Priests were completely redesigned and lost their crosses.
- In the uncensored version when party members of defeated they are represented by coffins with crosses on them. In the International release the dead party members follow you around as ghosts.
- One of the chambers in Hargon's Castle there is a safe floor in the shape of a large cross. In the International release it was changed to a square.
