Censorship

Criminal Girls: Invite Only is a RPG video game developed by Imageepoch and published by Nippon Ichi Software. It was first released in Japan on November 28, 2013 as Criminal Girls: Invitation for the PlayStation Vita, which itself is a remake of the original Criminal Girls for the PlayStation Portable in 2010. The game was censored in North America and Europe to tone down its sexuality. It was banned in New Zealand. A sequel, Criminal Girls 2: Party Favors, was released in 2015.

Censorship[]

International censorship[]

  • The training mechanic was modified for the International releases. In the censored version, the girls' voices (while they are moaning and protesting) during these sessions were removed, replaced by heartbeat sounds.
  • In the Motivation mini game there is a cloud of pink smoke that is supposed to conceal the female characters' bodies while they are being punished during the Motivation minigame. In the International releases the smoke stays there.
  • The artworks showing the girls in the Motivation minigame were modified for the International release. In the censored version, their clothing is less revealing/less suggestive.[1]

New Zealand censorship[]

  • This game was banned by New Zealand's Office of Film and Literature Classification.[2]

Where to find it uncensored[]

It is completely uncensored in Japan and can be modded on PCs to be uncensored.
