Charlie and the Chocolate Factory is a 2005 musical fantasy comedy film directed by Tim Burton and written by John August, based on the 1964 British novel of the same name by Roald Dahl. When Nickelodeon, TeenNick, and Nick@Nite aired this movie, it was censored due to network standards. As a result some language was removed from the film.

  • When Grandpa George says "Like hell", the word "hell" is muted due to religous language being offensive in the USA.
  • When Mike Teavee says "A r***** could figure it out", the word "r*****" is muted.
