Call of Duty: Black Ops is a first person shooting video game that was developed by Treyarch and published by Activision. The vide game was released on November 9, 2010. In order to get released in Germany, the game was censored. The European PEGI version has the German language settings censored. Due to the Japanese Cero max Z rating not allowing gore the game had to be censored in order to be released in Japan.

  • The game was originally banned in Germany due to its violence. It was later released after a censored version was made. (The PEGI and USK versions were both originally banned.)
  • The scene that shows shards being pushed into the victim's mouth was cut.
  • The scene that shows the victim being twice punched was cut.
  • Blood splatters were removed.
  • You can no longer burn enemies.
  • In the Rebirth level, it no longer shows people in the experimental laboratories.
  • Nazi symbols were removed.
  • Multiplayer statistics were removed.
  • References to Nazis were removed.

Japan censorship[]

  • Dismemberment is no longer possible.
  • Any scene that had gore was censored with the gore removed.

Uzbekistani censorship[]

  • The game was banned due to having the potential to be used to propagate violence, pornography, threaten security and social and political stability.

Where to find it uncensored[]

Every other country has it uncensored.
