Bust a Groove is a music fighting video game that was developed by Metro and published by Enix, 989 Studios and SCEE. The video game was released on December 2, 1998. The International release was censored in order to make it more family friendly.


International Censorship[]

(Due to Fandom not allowing the N-word to be written, it had to be censored by using an asterisk. This was done due to Fandom's Terms of Service.)

  • Hiro's cigarette was removed.
  • Strike's alcohol flask was changed to a can of soda pop.
  • Hamm's ganguro style appearance was changed to a more Caucasian look.
  • Hamm's song was edited to remove the word "n*gga".
    • The line "You got to be crazy n*gga." The word "n*gga" was muted.
  • Strike's song was edited to remove references to alcohol.
    • The entire line "Like Arnold Schwarzenegger I'm the only true racer who will drink that Tequila." was muted.
  • In Pinky's song the line "N*gga move!" was muted.
