Bluey

Bluey is an Australian cartoon that aired on October 1, 2018 on ABC Kids in Australia, and aired on September 9, 2019 in the United States on Disney Junior. It also aired on Disney Junior in many countries except in Australia, New Zealand, and China. The show has been censored in the US, UK, Southeast Asia and even in its home country(Australia) and New Zealand. Disney+ uses the Disney Junior version of the show.

  1. It seems that the early animation contains fat shaming. After several complaints, ABC announced that LUDO will make the late animation that will have the episode skipping the bathroom scene. However, because Disney doesn’t want to get blamed for pickiness, Disney showed the original uncensored version

    1. Bandit now burps instead of sneezing due to a complaint about using a food allergy as a joke.
    2. Some of the dialogue was changed. For example: Bingo's line "But you're allergic to sauerkraut" was changed to "But Mum says you can't eat sauerkraut," and Bluey's line "Yeah, it makes you sneeze" was changed to "Yeah, it makes you burp."
  • Episode 48 (Teasing)
    1. The episode was banned from TV airings due to Bluey and Bingo naming Bandit "ooga booga" which is a racial term. (Though on September 8, 2020 the episode re aired on TV.)
    2. The word "ooga booga" was changed to "Shooby-Doowah".

What if one day I just want to bite someone?" His mouth movements also reanimated to fit with the new dialogue.

  • You can find the uncensored version of Exercise on Disney Plus Hotstar (It may be rated PG).
  • In the United States, Target sells an exclusive DVD for seasons 1 and 2 with all of the Australian originals, including BBQ, Markets, Chickenrat, Daddy Putdown, Dad Baby, Trains, and Army.
    • On the Portuguese version of Disney+, the episode "Markets" is uncensored.
  • You can only find Chickenrat, and Taxi uncensored in the Disney Now app in the US, the rest are censored in TV airings, and the Disney Now app in the US and the UK.
  • For Southeast Asia, you can watch on CBeebies Asia or BBC Player.
    • In the Philippines, the episode "Dad Baby" aired on TV5 dubbed in Filipino, despite the fact Disney+ doesn't have it.
  • In Poland, the episode "Dad Baby" aired on CBeebies Poland. However, Disney Junior Poland refused to air the episode.
  • In France, the episode "Dad Baby" aired on France 5, and was available to stream on Okoo. However, Disney Junior France refused to air the episode (consequently, the said episode is not available on Disney+ France).
  • The full "Dad Baby" episode is now available on the official Bluey YouTube channel. It was uploaded on 1 May 2024.
