Fixing problems with this wiki
For many years, between 2017 (adoption) and 2021 (when I hopped on board to contribute), Starfox u was the dominant contributor to this wiki, having made over 7000 edits here. Upon hopping on board to edit the Censorship Wiki, its articles have problems that need to be resolved:
- Quantity over quality: Much of the information previously mentioned before is repeated.
- Wordiness: Words get repeated exactly from the previous sentence (e.g. "was modified for the X release. In the X release").
- Level 3 sections instead of a list for articles about consoles and platforms. This creates more vertical scrolling and less information visible at once.
- False information that cannot be verified with a citation. I removed the false UK censorship section on The Lou…
New article layout
To focus on quality over quantity, it is now recommended to write articles this way in the "Censorship" section of each page:
I first experimented using the new layout for the Censorship section when creating the page Hostel: Part II, which replaces the level 3 headers for censorship by country or region. That way, it reduces the risk of redundancy by repeating content mentioned before.
Under the grandfather clause, articles created before the new recommended layout may keep the old layout for now until a mass modification is necessary. Since Pippinitis is blocked across the Fandom network when I wrote this blog post, I cannot determine if he also recommends using my new layout. I will have to wait for now.
New updates to the Censorship Wiki (2023 Feb.)
Hello again everyone, we have some additional updates to the Censorship Wiki that were implemented between the end of January 2023 and now:
- The navigation menus (see at top) have been reorganized to allow easier navigation of popular censorship topics, including recently changed pages, censorship by country, and popular categories, such as anime, movies, television, and video games.

How I record dialogue changes
For some of the foreign shows that have been censored I have been using google translate to switch it over to English. I am using google translate for Dragon Ball Super and the new Digimon Appli Monsters. Those two shows were censored in France and unforchantly due to me not speaking French I can't give a completely accurate I am wondering if everyone is fine with me using google translate.
