Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery is a spy comedy film that was produced by New Line Productions/Capella International. The film was released on May 2, 1997. In order to get a PG-13 rating, the film was censored for the American release. HBO Max uses this censored version.

- The scene that shows Evel Knievel in the cooling box was cut.
- The scene that shows Austin Power's cooling box being taken away was censored. In the International release you see a close up on Austin Power's butt, while in the American release it shows the other people in the room.
- The scene that shows Austin Powers talking to Basil without any shirt on or anything was shortened.
- The scene where Vanessa says "Oh, God! No! No, I made him sleep on the sofa." it was changed to "Νo. I made him sleep on the sofa."
- The scene where Vanessa says "What? God knows he tried, mommy. I actually had to be rather firm with him. You didn't tell me he is so obsessed with sex! It's really bizarre." it was changed to "Ηa, ha. God knows he tried, Mummy. I actually had to end up being rather firm with him. What about his teeth? It's really bizarre."
- In the background you can see Austin Power's naked in the American version Vanessa's hand compeltely covers his groin preventing you from seeing anything. While in the uncensored you do see part of his penis.
- The scene where Vanessa's mom says "You can't judge him by modern standards." was cut.
- The scene where Vanessa says "What about his teeth?" was cut.
- The scene where Vanessa says "I don't get that, mommy."
- The scene where Vanessa's mom says "Once Austin has you in his charms, it's impossible to get out." was cut.
- The scene where Vanessa is holding a magnifying glass was modified for the American release. In the American version the magnifying glass's angel was changed to make it look less like she is trying to see Austin Power's nude.
- The scene that shows Austin Power's using a large camera was modified for the American release. In the American version the camera is at his side and Vanessa has a more normal face expession.
- The scene where Austin Powers says "Please, call me Richie." was cut.
- The scene where Alotta Fagina says "Miss Fagina, ..." was cut.
- The scene that shows a close up on Alotta Fagina was repalced with a farther away shot.
- The scene where Aotta says "It's for the mining industry, Mr. Cunningham. You know, er..." was changed to her talking aboout Number 2.
- The scene that shows Austin moving moving his head a bit but saying nothing was repalced with a scene of him grinning.
- The scene that shows Alotta wearing nothing but a bathrobe was cut.
- The scene that shows Austin Power's getting up and heading towards her was modified for the American release. In the American version the scene is zoomed in while the International version shows a shot that is futher back.
- The scene where Austin Powers says "What exactly do you do at Virtucon?" was cut.
- The scene where Alotta says "I will tell you all in due time. But first..." was cut.
- The scene that shows Austin Powers and Vanessa opening a door and walking up to the guard and hypnotizing him was cut.
- The scene that shows the gaurd's family hearing the news of the gaurds death was cut.
- The scene that takes place in Hooters was cut.
- The scene where Austin Powers says "I bought you your orange sherbet." was cut.
- The scene where Austin Powers says "Thank you!" was cut.
- The scene that shows Austin Powers naked walking up to the coach was cut.
- The scene that shows Austin Powers trying to grab a weapon as he is choaked was cut.

Every other country has it uncensored. The 25th Anniversary UK Blu-Ray is uncensored.
