Akudama Drive is a action anime that was produced by Pierrot and was released on October 8, 2020 and ended on December 24, 2020. Violence was toned down on Japanese TV stations and that censored version airs on International streaming services. The English dub was censored by Funimation to make it more politically correct.

- The scene that shows a severed head falling onto the ground and then rolling a bit was modified for the TV broadcast. In the TV version black shadows cover the head to prevent any gore from being shown.
- The scene that shows the Police Commander's head getting sliced in half was modified for the TV broadcast. In the TV version rays of white light cover most of the head to prevent any gore from being shown.
- The scene that shows the Police Commander's severed neck was modified for the TV broadcast. In the TV version black shadows were added to cover up the bloody stump.
- The scene that shows a police officer's head being blown off was modified for the TV broadcast. In the TV version black shadows were added to cover up the severed head.
- Episode 2
- The scene that shows multiple dead bodies lining the hallway was modified for the TV broadcast. In the TV version black shadows were added to cover up any gore.
