4Kids Entertainment, also known as 4Licensing Corporation and initially known as Leisure Concepts, Inc. when it was first founded, was an American licensing company that remained open from 1970 to 2017. It focused on dubbing Japanese anime for western audiences to air them later in their respective TV channels. The company was infamous for editing many scenes in the series they acquitted, such as the ones involving violence and inappropriate language that was not suitable for children.
